I began working with stained glass in 2001. I first began making original crosses which are available for purchase at both locations of "Etc." in Flowood, MS, the Mississippi Crafts Center on Rice Road in Jackson just off the Natchez Trace and at ARTichoke on Fortification Street in Jackson.
I have always had an affinity for rougher looking things with free form designs that have an appearance of being old. I also love natural wood forms. In late 2005, I began combining natural driftwood and stained glass to create one of a kind wood and glass lamps. I like the challenge of balancing the shape of the shade to compliment the wood form.
Each piece is hand engraved with my initials and date. Lamps are also engraved with the name and number of the lamp.
I hope you enjoy looking them. Of course, they look much more appealing in real life. If you have an interest in seeing them in person, please email me or come a visit me at the Chimneyville Crafts Show each December.
